Charity auction of a unique timepiece, until July 17th, 2019

Until July 17, 2019, Sotheby's proposes the auction of the gold perpetual calendar flyback chronograph pilot's watch "Le Petit Prince" by IWC Schaffhausen: the unique piece will be sold to the benefit of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation, to support education.

Stainless steel case capped by sapphire glass, it is water-resistant to 6 bar and against depressurization. The self-winding is automatic. The inner case is made from soft-iron to protect against magnetic fields. The watch has 44 hours of power reserve and is completely produced in Switzerland. It is sold with a with a strap from Santoni.

Since 2006, the Swiss watch company is supporting the charitable activities of the famous pilot's descendants. Established in 2009, the Foundation Antoine de Saint-Exupéry for the Youth today wishes to make the original texts and illustrations of the "Petit Prince" accessible to blind or visually impaired children.

The benefit of the auction will finance the tactile edition in braille and raised characters, made by the Claude Garrandès / Association Arrimage editions, to allow the animation of artistic and educational workshops in France and abroad.
