Achille Castiglioni, born in 1918, is known for his prolific creativity: for decades, he has designed everyday objects by reinventing or by diverting them from their main function, using resources available locally. At the start, there was a need, that he fulfilled with pragmatism. Uncategorized and tireless industrial designer, he went directly to the essence: the form of the object was determined by its function.

Alessi pays homage to Achille Castiglioni for the centennaire of his birth, by redrawing the fruit bowl with drainer C04, in a limited edition of 999 numbered pieces. Made from stainless steel and aluminium, it is recyclable in an infinite number of times.
