The Ecrin features the monogram initials of Laurent-Perrier and the distinctive oval label to celebrate the limited edition.

Founded in 1812, the maison opted in the late 1950s for the use of stainless steel tanks to control the initial low temperature fermentation and preserve the freshness of the wine and the complexity of its aromas. The signature know-how is the single vineyard vinification, that allow a broad array of aromas to the Cellar Master responsible for the blend.

The shape of the bottle is inspired by the first glass containers of the wine, when it became the "vin de Champagne" under the reign of king Henri IV.

The limited edition is elaborated from 100% of Pinot Noir of the Montagne de Reims. The grapes from selected plots are sorted and destemmed before vatting. The maceration is lasting from 48 to 72 hours depending on the harvest which helps the extraction of the colour, and the champagne is ageing for a minimum of five years.
It is characterized by its ripe red fruit aromas and freshness and can be paired with marinated raw fish, grilled prawns, exotic dishes, Parma ham or red fruit desserts.
