Organic Côtes du Rhône, drunk at the Cannes film festival and in Monaco
Art Mas is a vineyard composed of of noble grape varieties, Grenache and Syrah grown in an organic manner oriented toward biodynamy. Xavier Combe describes himself as a winemaker artist. He has also been a partner in the evening launch of several films at the Cannes film festival and is supplier to the Principality of Monaco.
The vineyard is located in Visan, in the Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan appellation, in the southern part of the Rhône Valley, next to the AOP Vacqueyras et Gigondas and the Enclave-des-Papes area, reknown for the quality of its wines.
Vines are between fifty and a hundred years old and are producing grapes of a high degree of aromatic richness. Yields are deliberately held down to increase the concentration of flavors. The vineyard is grown while respecting its natural ecosystem, without chemicals. Tools used on each parcel are adapted adapted to the topography of the site. Grape picking is done manually and the vinification is made following the phases of the moon.
