Sustainable swim suits made from recycled fishing nets
Founded in 2012 by Claire and Alix Mougenot, Luz Collections manufactures bathing suits, homewear and active wear from GOTS-certified organic cotton and Econyl.
The whole manufacturing line has been implemented in respect of the principles of sustainability; the pieces are made of polyamide, made from recycled fishing nets (88%) mixed with 22% of elastane for comfort or in GOTS-certified organic cotton; the accessories are guaranteed free of PVC and used colorants do not contain heavy metals; pieces are manufactured in audited workshops in Europe in fair working conditions and through fair trade.
The whole collection is approved by Oeko-Tex, which means that all fabrics and colours used are certified non toxic. The brand gives 1% of its revenues for the protection of the environment via the organisation 1% for the planet.
