Nomadic garments made from upcycled fabrics
Nowmade reinvents nomadic garments with style. Fabrics come from dead stocks, each piece is created for optimal comfort and multiple uses, everything is manufactured in the Paris region.
The foundress Tessa Abarro noticed that women's apparel were primarily focused on style at the cost of comfort, compromise that she refused. Why winter coats are often heavy and cumbersome? Why pockets of women's trousers were smaller? And blazers for women don't even have one in the inside. She founded Nowmade to answer all these questions.
The creative process is highly structured: definition of use, research studies and sketches to design a look, cloths are worn by several beta testers to be finalised, which allow to launch the manufacturing. The cotton is GOTS certified, textiles are organic and their sourcing is traceable, recycled ones repect the GRS international voluntary standard (Global Recycling Standard); fabrics and haberdashery are OEKO TEX standard 100 and garments are PETA vegan approved.
