Opening of a gastronomical organic restaurant in Barcelona, which serves exclusive Catalan wines

restaurant-locavore-barcelone-small.jpgA new organic gastronomical restaurant is opening in Barcelona, in tribute to Catalan cuisine: the Solc.

The restaurant has its own dedicated vegetable garden, located on the heights of the Coasta de Maresme, with view of the Mediterranean Sea, where vegetable are harvested every day. The meat is purchased from a verified network of local farmers and fish is chosen among the best fishing catches on the Barcelona's market.

Grown on a parcel located near its garden, in the respect of the environment, the AA Cau D’en genÍs Cuvée Majestic is exclusively made for the restaurant. This local white grape Xarel-lo is cultivated with sustainable methods by an independent winegrower.

The menu is changed everyday, composed from seasonal, organic and local products. The spanish Chef, Luis Llamas has been working at the Roca Bar and at the Nerúa Guggenheim Bilbao, serves reinvented Catalan dishes under the  supervision of the Executive Chief of the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, David Romero.
