Sustainable eyewear, manufactured from upcycled materials
Parafina creates trendy sun glasses by recycling plastic, metal and rubber. The enterprise is BCorp certified.
Launched in 2014, the brand states its ambition when it was founded: here to see a better world. Raw materials that it uses already exist, PET from water bottles, semi-rigid high-density polyethylene from packaging, rubber from tires and metal from beverage cans. As a result, the glasses are ultralight, flexible and resistant.
Since it was founded, the brand has already recycled 3.5 millions of PET bottles, 5.600 car tires and 78.000 soda cans. It has then saved the annual consumption of more than 1.000 people and reduce by 23% its carbon emissions linked to the manufacturing, comparing to the making of glasses from new raw material.
To keep improving its processes and products, the brand measures its triple impact through independent certification partners: it is BCorp, Intertek and Bcome certified. It reinvests 5% of our sales to scholarships for children in Paraguay.
