The luxury of upcycling by Hermès

It is ten years that petit h by Hermès is written in lowercase. Ten years that the materials that other métiers have not used, leather, silk, crystal, porcelain, horsehair or metal are combined, adjusted and assembled by artisans, artists and designers to create useful and singular objects.

Launched in 2010 by Pascale Mussard, the artistic direction is assured by Godefroy de Virieu since 2018. To combine shapes and contrasting materials to make unexpected pieces has always been a bright spot on the horizon, like adjusting a jacket button on the top of a crystal bottle to invent a salt shaker. Every creation is suggested by recovered materials and the savoir-faire of the different métiers, and the starting point is never the same.

The collection constantly adds accessories, totems and jewels. Unique pieces or limited editions of petit h are disseminated in a very limited number of places and will be exhibited at 24, Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris until 2021, before leaving on a trip.
